CLI SA OPENS NEW OFFICE IN MOZAMBIQUE

In order to better service the Mozambique Mining and Oil & Gas Industry, CLI SA has recently expanded its network of own offices in Southern Africa with a new subsidiary in Mozambique, CLI MZ Limitada, based in Maputo.

The company in Mozambique was founded together with a local partner forming a joint venture that will service the gas projects in the North, as well as a developing mining sector across the whole of Mozambique. A focus is placed on Project and Re-Supply Logistics, with special emphasis on procurement of supplies from South Africa that are consolidated at the CLI SA Hub in Johannesburg. “Despite the recent setback to the Palma Gas Project, we believe strongly in the future development of this project and the tremendous opportunities it presents for growth in the region. We therefore feel it is the right time to make an investment into expansion into Mozambique” said Uwe Niederheitmann, CEO of CLI SA.

With its own fleet of trucks as well as a large warehouse and laydown area in Johannesburg equipped with a broad array of handling equipment, CLI SA is well-placed to cater for all the in-bound logistics needs of its customers based in Mozambique. Having an office in Mozambique enables the CLI Group to enhance and expand the service offering to its customers, catering for local and in-country logistics in line with the development goals of local business by the Mozambique Authorities.
